On weekdays parking is usually available for free at the "Lakeside Inn" (100 N Alexander Street, Mount Dora). On most Saturdays and sometimes on a Sunday the "Lakeside Inn" will charge $10 for parking. All street parking in Mount Dora is free.

     CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Your credit card will not be charged at the time of booking and full payment will be taken by the Captain or First Mate in charge of the tour.
• However, 50% of the total tour charge will be levied if you do not cancel inside the cancellation period.
• The total tour charge will be levied if you do not cancel your reservation and are "no show" on the day.
• For Individual bookings the reservation must be canceled by 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled tour.
• For Group Tours of 10 people and above the reservation must be cancelled 7 days in advance. Numbers of Passengers in the group can be decreased by a maximum of 20% up to 4:00 pm the day before the tour.
• For Private Tours the reservation must be canceled 7 days in advance.
• If you cancel inside the cancellation policy time, your credit card will not be charged.

Yes, reservations are necessary for all tours as seating on each boat is limited by Coast Guard regulations and we also need a minimum number of people to send a tour out.

Well, you can just "show up." but you take your chance that the tour is full or there is not a confirmed tour.

No. However, credit card details are required to reserve or "hold" your seat. This will not be charged to your card at the time and full payment will be made at the boat before boarding. This way, you can pay with cash or credit card, individually or as a group. The only time your credit card that is on file will be charged is if you do not comply to our cancellation policy, which is above.

Please be on the dock at Lakeside Inn 15 minutes before the tour departure time. At this time you will need to sign our liability waiver form and then pay the Captain as you board the boat.

Yes you can. We do sell bottled water on-board, but you are more than welcome to bring your food and drinks (alcohol is permitted). Glass bottles are allowed on the boat, however please bring a plastic glass to drink from.

Our pontoon boats sit right next to the dock, so there is little or no gap. There is sometimes a step (depending on lake water levels and passenger load). There is always Captain and Crew to lend a hand to passengers with a walker or to assist with a wheelchair onto the boat. We cannot get scooters or power wheelchairs onto the boats.

Our 2 large pontoon boats are both equipped with marine heads (toilets), they are not the "Hilton" but are clean. Our smaller pontoon boat does not have a toilet.

Our 2 larger boats are fitted with drop down plastic windows, so that no matter the weather conditions, you can stay dry. Our smaller 6-passenger boat is more open to the elements, thus we will sometimes delay a tour to allow a shower to move through.

We do not cancel our tours for a localized rain shower; we will cancel a tour if it is unsafe to be on the water or if it is going to rain for the whole trip.

We always suggest you dress appropriately for the conditions; it is often a few degrees cooler out on the boat. The plastic windows can be lowered to stop any wind chill.

We allow small/lap dogs that are under 20 lbs. They must be well-behaved and on a leash (or in a bag). When making a reservation you must tell us if you intend to bring a dog with you, please do not just show up with a dog. Service dogs are always permitted on-board.

Our 2 larger pontoon boats are 38 feet long. Sea Haven carries 22 passengers and Captain Doolittle carries 21 passengers. Our smaller pontoon boat is 25 feet long and carries 6 passengers. Total capacity 49 passengers.

Our scheduled daily tours leave from Mount Dora. You can arrange a private tour from Tavares or somewhere else on the Harris Chain of Lakes, a transfer fee would be charged for this.
